EGPC and EGAS Awarded Blocks

According to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources strategy to attract new E&P investments:

The Egyptian General Petroleum Cooperation (EGPC) assigned three blocks in the Western Desert:
1 - South Ras Qattara Exploration Block to Egyptian National Petroleum for Exploration and Development Company (ENPEDCO).
2- East Bir El Nus Exploration Block to Energean Egypt Limited Co. (Operator-50%) and Ina-Industrija Nafta d.d. Co. (50%).
3- Burg El Arab Development Block to Kuwait Energy Egypt Limited.

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) reached to a preliminary agreements to assign three blocks in the offshore Mediterranean Sea:
1 - Northwest Abu Qir Offshore Exploration Block to BP (Operator-82.75%) and Wintershall-Dea (17.25%).
2 - Bellatrix-Seti East Offshore Exploration Block to ENI (Operator-50%) and BP (50%).
3- Northeast El Arish Offshore Exploration Block to ENI in which Thuraya-1 well started drilling on 23th November 2022 at a water depth of 953 meters, and the total depth is expected to reach 6,100 meters.
All necessary procedures for the issuance of EGAS new agreements are under processing.
